Cheryl Aleman

I have had the privilege of being under Shanda’s teaching for a year now.  I thought I was just joining a bible study but instead, I’ve gained so much more.  Shanda has a good-humored nature about her, she is down to earth about life’s struggles and is encouraging to those around her.  She mentors others without even trying.  She has such a great way at seeing people for who they are and appreciating their unique qualities and offering encouraging words to them individually. She mentors our group of Christian women in such a way that I personally have grown to feel accountable to them in my personal walk with God.  Shanda uses great factual and theoretical biblical references that are applicable and she always encourages us to know the bible for ourselves, not to just take her word for it. I’m always amazed at her level of commitment to our group, she comes prepared, having pre-studied our material and leads our group discussions with such passion.  One thing I love is she challenges us to participate in group prayer.  I have grown so much over the past year and I’m so thankful that I get to do life with my sister-in-Christ, Shanda.
